Blizzard doesn’t want just to build on the success of Diablo, Warcraft and Starcraft and their universes. One of the reasons of this statement is Overwatch, which is going to be an MMOFPS. It is currently sitting in closed beta phase on the PC, and it will stay in it until mid-to-late January. This theatrical teaser is called We Are Overwatch. Theatrical?
As was the case with Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, this trailer is also played in some cinemas around the United States. (Maybe it’s going to be a trend! Or, is it just because of the huge success of Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens?) It’s not bad, but it’s a little short. But then again, it’s just a teaser and no more.
Blizzard isn’t going to ignore the PlayStation 4 with Overwatch because its Origins Edition is going to be available on consoles (PS4, Xbox One) as well in the spring of 2016. We have seen several MMOFPS games on the PS4 (for example, Blacklight: Retribution), so we’re not sure if this game is going to be able to be more successful than the previous games.
