Remember Ubisoft boss’ Yves Guillemot‘s promise? He said that after the Watch Dogs debacle, they will try not to present fake videos of their upcoming games (ah yes, Sony E3 2005 Killzone 2…), as Aiden’s game looked way different and dumbed down if we compared the retail version to the E3 footage. Did Ubisoft keep their promise about this mentality? It seems they failed…
Two videos have appeared with one focus: comparing the 2013 E3 gameplay with the January 2016, almost complete build’s gameplay. (Brooklyn will be a DLC in the game, good job, Ubisoft!) While we see the Xbox One version in the 2016 video, you can still see major differences between the two builds although not as much as seen with Watch Dogs. The PS4 can’t be that much better either, so Eurogamer’s video can be considered as a starting point. GamesRadar’s video went further and put the E3 2014 video into the mix as well. You can still see the differences.
Ubisoft still has a long way to go to get to the honest approach in gaming.
