Gran Turismo Has Over 76.8 Million Sales, GT6 Crosses 5 Million

New sales results emerged from Polyphony Digital – guess, which Gran Turismo installment sold the most so far?

Polyphony’s website was updated, and we learned that Gran Turismo 6, which came at a somewhat unfortunate time (December 2013, just weeks after the PlayStation 4‘s launch!), has crossed five million sales. The total sales figure is 76.8 million games sold by June 30, 2016. Not too shabby from the PlayStation-exclusive franchise. Let’s see the sales per game:

Gran Turismo – 10.85 million
Gran Turismo 2 – 9.37 million
Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec – 14.89 million
Gran Turismo Concept Series – 1.56 million
Gran Turismo 4 Prologue – 1.4 million
Gran Turismo 4 – 11.76 million
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue – 5.35 million
Gran Turismo PSP – 4.65 million
Gran Turismo 5 – 11.95 million
Gran Turismo 6 – 5.01 million

You read that correctly, Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec is on the top of the podium, followed by the fourth and the first installments. The franchise expands in November with Gran Turismo Sport, which will be a PlayStation 4-exclusive with PlayStation VR-support.
