Test Drive Is In New Hands

Atari sold its Test Drive brand.

Bigben Interactive purchased the franchise that can be dated back to as early as 1987 with the intention of creating more installments in the Test Drive Unlimited series. This company currently owns the WRC and the TT Isle of Man IP-s: with the rally series, Kylotonn is currently at WRC 6, although they only developed two titles. (Milestone did the first four, as well as a WRC Powerslide spin-off.)

Test Drive Unlimited 2 reached 1.8 million sales, which is a respectable result for a racing game. Test Drive‘s most recognized installment is 2006’s Test Drive Unlimited, which was one of the most impressive racing games on the PlayStation 2: the online fuses together with the campaign, allowing multiple hours of fun while driving around the island.

Who will be developing Test Drive Unlimited 3? Is it going to be Kylotonn?
