The Metal Gear game, which is made without Hideo Kojima’s involvement, received a release date, and it seems you’ll need an Internet connection to play!
On the NeoGAF forums, the users found that the game’s website states „An internet connection is required to play the game.” That’s not talking about online, as the line above mentions „PlayStation Plus subscription is required for online-multiplay [sic!]”. For Xbox One users, an Xbox Live Gold subscription will be necessary, but them, as well as PC users, can’t escape from the always online requirement!
The Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain spinoff, which is set in an alternate timeline, is dubbed as a survival action game. It is going to launch on February 20 in North America and February 22 in Europe, respectively, on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Konami confirmed. The PC port will see a simultaneous launch with the console versions. Metal Gear Survive already has a pre-ordering bonus: the Survival Pack will have two additional gestures (lol!), four gold-plated weapons, four metallic scarves, kabuki face paint, the Boxman accessory, and a Mother Base nameplate.
How well will this game perform…?
