We guessed correctly about the second pre-E3 Sony announcement – indeed, it was Days Gone which received a release day.
To be fair, we’re quickly mentioning the first announcement as well: Enhance Games’ Tetris Effect is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR – behind the game, we can find Tetsuya Mizuguchi (Sega Rally Championship, Space Channel 5, Rez, Lumines…).
On the PlayStation Blog, we can read that the game, developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment Bend Studio is indeed coming in early 2019. There’s also a new trailer that introduces two enemy types: the infected lions/cougars, as well as the Criers (the infected ravens). A human faction, Rest In Peace (R.I.P.) is also revealed.
Three characters are also formally introduced: William „Boozer” Gray (acted by Jim Pirri) was already seen in the 2016 announcement video, and he’s pretty much the protagonist’s, Deacon’s brother. Alkai Turner (Jonathan Joss) is the arms dealer of the Hotsprings survivor encampment, which is run by Ada Tucker (DeeDee Rescher).
Days Gone is launching on February 22, exclusively on PlayStation 4.
