The sequel to Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, which was announced a few days ago, seems to be more and more hopeful.
Chris Avellone announced on Twitter that he’s also involved in the development of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. Thus, the experienced writer can carve up another RPG on his ever-expanding list, and let’s not forget that Avellone also helped with Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, as well as System Shock, plus we know that he is the narrative designer of Dying Light 2. Avellone, who previously was the designer of Fallout 2, is still a highly-demanded freelancer in the gaming industry.
Let’s not forget about Rik Schaffer either – he composed the original soundtrack for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines. (You can listen to it here.) A streamer by the name of Outstar asked Schaffer if he reprises his role in the sequel. He answered: „I contributed an hour of music to the OST and am the main composer. Been working on it for over a year. Telling you first. You can get the word out now that the game was announced. Original OST coming on iTunes on November… :)”
With it, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has not only Brian Mitsoda (lead writer/creative mind of the first game) return but the lead composer, too. The game is coming in the first quarter of 2020 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. (Then the soundtrack might arrive a bit too early. In Devil May Cry 5’s case, the OST was released roughly two weeks after the game…)
