A Nazi proclamation leaves Marco van Basten out of FIFA 20 Ultimate Team

Electronic Arts has not hesitated to remove the former soccer player from the FIFA 20 until further notice.

Marco van Basten was hunted saying the Nazi proclamation “Sieg hail” after a match between Ajax and Heracles Almelo at the Johan Cruyff Arena. Although the former soccer player explained in Fox Sports microphones that it was “a wrong joke” in which he intended to “ridicule the level of German” of a Dutch journalist, EA Sports has preferred to take action on the matter in his popular football simulator, FIFA 20.

All the elements of Marco van Basten have been removed from FIFA 20: Ultimate Team. They have explained it in a statement: “We are aware of the latest comments from Marco Van Basten. We intend to maintain our commitment to equality and diversity in our game and, therefore, we will suspend the articles of icon of Bas Bastan envelopes, DCP and FUT Draft until further notice . ”

EA Sports’ commitment to equality and diversity is total, so it is understood that Marco van Basten’s words are far from what is expected of a world football legend and does not take place between Ultimate icons and legends Team . The game is available since September 27 on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
