The new Ubisoft game already has a release date, coinciding with the leaks – let’s see the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gameplay trailer.
Without a doubt, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is one of the most powerful games we can expect from the final stretch of 2020. Ubisoft’s Viking action RPG has suffered several leaks in recent weeks, but finally, the publisher has presented a new full trailer of gameplay material and details on gameplay, exploration and other aspects of the game.
(There are Uplay offers for the Ubisoft Forward, with discounts on hundreds of games currently discounted.)
As we already knew, we played a warrior of Norwegian origin named Eivor, who has the mission of setting up a prosperous settlement in the British lands. Throughout the video, we’ve been able to see how our protagonist will coordinate his soldiers during invasions, setting villages on fire, reviving his allies, or looting valuable loot. It will also feature assaults on large-scale fortresses, including siege engines. As we progress, we will be able to take better control of the map in our own settlements.
Perhaps the most interesting thing of all is the renewed combat system: yes, we will have skills similar to those we already saw in Odyssey, but in addition to that we also have “the greatest variety of enemies in the saga”, with multiple mechanics and novel behaviours: some will cooperate with their colleagues or throw stones and corpses at us. We also have new stun mechanics, we will be able to wield two weapons of our choice at the same time, and we can even explore to find other challenges, such as puzzles that involve pagan rites, ancient magic or huge animals that serve as elites.
In case you still haven’t got enough, half an hour of new game footage have also been shown in the ‘post-show’. If you’ve been on the lookout for leaks it won’t catch you by surprise, but Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be available on November 17. If you’re a big fan of the saga, you can check out the exclusive Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Collector’s Edition from the Ubisoft Store, which you can pre-order right now with a 20% discount with 100 Club Units. In addition, in the store, there are also offers on hundreds of games from the Ubisoft Store, with some titles for 1.25 euros.
Ubisoft has been through some rough times lately, thanks to the sexual harassment scandal you can read about here.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will come to PC (via the Epic Games Store and Uplay system) as well as PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Google Stadia on November 17.
