How Did The Watch Dogs 2 Gift Became A Nightmare?

The large influx of players prevented Watch Dogs 2 from being available for free during the digital event.

One of the incentives to enjoy the Ubisoft Forward digital event was the possibility of getting a free copy of Watch Dogs 2 on PC, but due to server problems this became an impossible mission for the thousands of players who followed the Ubisoft online streaming. It was not even possible to access your user account so, given this setback and for the peace of mind of the fans, the authors of the Assassin’s Creed saga warned that all the promised rewards would be offered later. And the first of these can now be added to your Uplay account.

The video game will be added in the next few hours to your personal Uplay account.

PC players who want to get Watch Dogs 2 for free just have to access the link provided with their active user account. If all is well, Ubisoft will warn you that a copy of this outstanding open world action game set in the city of San Francisco will be added to your personal library soon. “The other in-game rewards will be waiting for you directly in related games soon,” warns the French company, without going into further details.

“We hope you enjoyed Ubisoft Forward! We are sorry that we were unable to distribute the various rewards during the conference,” they wrote shortly after the event. “But don’t worry because all those with a Ubisoft account can also get hold of them.” Obtaining the video game, at least at the time of writing this news, is not instantaneous. Watch Dogs 2 is expected to be available in your personal Uplay account in the next few hours , according to the messages shared by Ubisoft on their social networks.

The gameplay of Watch Dogs Legion was unveiled during Ubisoft Forward. And if that wasn’t enough, hundreds of games have been discounted from Ubisoft’s offerings. Not bad after the French have failed so spectacularly with their free game…
