It looks like Ubisoft will get into more broadcasts…

Yesterday, Ubisoft held its first Ubisoft Forward broadcast, which had a lot of negative ratings and comments in its YouTube chat, especially because the French company promised the viewers to make Watch Dogs 2 available via their Uplay for free. However, the system collapsed, and people were talking about these instead of the new announcements. Then again, the only new and important thing in the stream was the announcement of Watch Dogs Legion‘s release date. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla‘s release date? We wrote about that yesterday via a leak. Far Cry 6‘s plot, release date, and first trailer? We also wrote about that the other day (but we are getting back to this game later today in the news).

„I hope you will have enjoyed what you have seen today, and that you will love playing these games. I’m proud of our teams for delivering an ambitious, proud, and creative lineup of games. And we haven’t shown you everything yet. We have a lot more to come. So you will have another Ubisoft Forward to reveal even more about our upcoming games,” said Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot. He also acts as the chief creative officer at the moment (over the weekend, Ubisoft imploded, and we kept track of the events at the company in the news as well). „Remember, we’ll be back later this year with another Ubisoft Forward filled with tons of game news and updates,” Ubisoft communications specialist Youssef Maguid later added.

So there’s going to be another Ubisoft Forward (we don’t know when yet), but we can already guess that it is going to include the release date announcement for both Gods & Monsters and Rainbow Six Quarantine. (And maybe see Beyond Good & Evil 2…) Still, Ubisoft is following the example of Nintendo (Nintendo Direct), Sony (State of Play), or even Microsoft (Xbox 20/20), although it’s possibly a temporary thing.

Let’s hope their servers won’t crash the next time… also, the first broadcast did not mention the internal implosion due to being a pre-recorded broadcast, but there’s no excuse for the second time.
