Housemarque might not wait much longer until releasing its next game.
You might know Housemarque via its one of many games (Stardust, Super Stardust on Amiga platforms as Bloodhouse; Super Stardust HD – PlayStation 3; Super Stardust Portable – PSP; Dead Nation – PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4; Outland – PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC/Mac/Linux; Super Stardust Delta – PlayStation Vita; Resogun – PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4; Alienation – PlayStation 4; Nex Machina – PlayStation 4, PC; Matterfall – PlayStation 4), but the Finnish studio is now looking into the next console generation.
On Twitter, someone noticed that Laura Gilbert’s LinkedIn page explicitly claims that Returnal is going to launch in 2021 (exclusively on PlayStation 5). Keep in mind that it is not official, and the coronavirus global pandemic could still change plans (which is why it’s best to keep a wide release window announced and reveal the proper release date close to the launch so that you don’t end up delaying your game… Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed a few times as an example).

Players can switch instinctively between firing modes by using a single adaptive trigger and can get right back into the action after dying. We’d point out that Housemarque seems to have followed the example that several games started recently. If a game has a female protagonist, they end up looking somewhat ugly… and guess what? Returnal seems to be no exception to this rule either.
