MOVIE NEWS – British actor Henry Cavill is in talks with Lionsgate to play one of the lead roles in the upcoming Highlander movie.

The interpreter of Superman in several films of the DC cinematic universe could play one of the central characters of the film, according to several specialized media, but it is not known yet which one.

Henry Cavill, who also stars in the Netflix series The Witcher, is currently still in negotiations with the producers of this new version of the cult fantasy film, about the battle between immortal warriors through time.

The original Highlander, starring Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery, was released in 1986 and has since been the subject of several sequels, spin-off series and even an animated film based on the script. Video games, novels and board games have also been created since the release of the first feature film.
