Universal has registered the trademark for Jurassic World Primal Ops. But so far, little else is known about the blockbuster film series’ new outing.
If you’ve been missing more adventures from the Jurassic Park universe, you’re in luck. Universal City Studios registered its trademark for Jurassic World: Primal Ops for video games a few days ago. Still, no further details about the unit or its release were released.
The registration can also be seen on copyright search site Trademarkia and Justia Trademarks, which, as PCGamesN reminds us, was already quite successful last year in pushing forward the release of Jurassic World Aftermath, which finally debuted recently in Oculus Quest 2.
It was clear at the time that Aftermath would be a game for virtual reality devices, but not Primal Ops, which could be a mobile and/or console release. We’ll have to wait for more information to know for sure, though the most immediate future for the franchise is Jurassic World Evolution 2. The park-management title was present at GamesCom 2021 with a release date and trailer.
What could be about Primal Ops? The Gamer theorises that the name could lead to a more tactical approach, possibly action, but for now, we repeat, it’s all conjecture and rumour. Finally, Jurassic World: Dominion is scheduled to hit cinemas in mid-2022.
