EA Sports becomes a partner and sponsor of the Italian Super Cup, integrating the licenses in the different game modes.
EA’s hit soccer simulation saga is back with FIFA 22, and it hasn’t stopped giving us details about the game since the introduction of its first trailer and confirmation of the release date. EA has shared a lot of news about Ultimate Team, with changes to Division Rivals and more customization, but today it brings us by surprise its agreement with Italian football.
Lega Serie A will collaborate with EA Sports to bring us the Italian soccer experience as an official partner and licensee. Lega Serie A is the highest level competition in Italian football and in its agreement with FIFA 22 we will have 14 teams with an exclusive license, with exclusive rights to integrate Serie A into the FUT Team of the Week, the FUT Serie A Team of the Season and a new EA Sports Player of the Month award.
The agreement with EA Sports extends beyond the game, which will become the official sponsor and partner of the Italian Super Cup, which will change its name to the EA Sports Super Cup from the 2022-2023 season. This agreement seeks to offer the best Lega Serie A gaming experience with the eSports eSerie A TIM competition, coming exclusively to EA SPORTS FIFA.
Luigi De Siervo, CEO of Lega Serie A, has shared his enthusiasm for the union between Lega Serie A and EA Sports. De Siervo sees this as a unique opportunity to bring greater visibility to Italian clubs and players over the next few years. FIFA 22 will also have a license for 100 stadiums, including several in the Spanish league. FIFA 22 will arrive this October 1 to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, Nintendo Switch and Stadia.
