Warner Bros.’ Montreal studio may not be releasing the post-Batman, the Gotham Knights game in the fall or the end of 2022…

An image has surfaced on Twitter, taken from Jin Park’s website. Or rather, it WAS taken: the content in question has been removed from Park’s website. He is responsible for the Gotham Knights brand and its marketing art direction, which leads us to believe that it’s true that Gotham Knights is supposedly coming out in the spring. A single word can describe the situation: admission… but it’s too late to delete the information. We are already talking about the subject. Surely, they won’t make us scrub this article.

According to the official description, “Batman is dead. A new expansive, criminal underworld has swept the streets of Gotham City. It is now up to the Batman Family; Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin, to protect Gotham, bring hope to its citizens, discipline its cops, and fear its criminals. From solving mysteries that connect the darkest chapters in the city’s history to defeating notorious villains in epic confrontations, you must evolve into the new Dark Knight and save the streets from descent into chaos.” We last wrote about Gotham Knights with the introduction of Court of Owls, after Warner showed that game (Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League was also there) at the DC FanDome.

So Gotham Knights is supposedly coming out in the spring (March to May), but since it’s not official, we’re being highly hypothetical about it. Maybe Warner is tying the release date to nothing more than the dirty finances: if they need the cash, they’ll force it out from WB Games Montreal by March, the end of the current fiscal year. The game will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC (with Denuvo), PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
