MOVIE NEWS – “Stop tiptoeing around”. Sandra Bullock has made it clear that the new Wolverine should be played by her Lost City partner Daniel Radcliffe.
Sandra Bullock says Marvel should just start getting their act together and cast Daniel Radcliffe as Wolverine in X-Men. Here’s what she told It’s Gone Viral:
“Wolverine people, can you please just f*cking cast him? Just do it. Stop tiptoeing around and having people ask at press junkets. Just cast the man.”
Since 2017, after Hugh Jackman wrapped up the former Wolverine franchise with Logan, fans have been lining up a lot of tips on who would be worthy of the adamantium claws, including Jared Keeso, Dany DeVito, Tom Hardy and Daniel Radcliffe. Radcliffe might not be considered by many to be a good choice for the role, but a lot of fans and Sandra Bullock think that the young actor should just be given the chance to play the superhero role, which he would certainly do well in. Besides, there are innovations in the Marvel house now that the X-Men series has become part of the MCU.
But unlike Bullock, Daniel Radcliffe does not think it is realistic to cast him as Wolverine. He has been asked by fans on several occasions if he gets the role or not, to which he has started to respond ironically, but his answers have also given rise to a lot of speculation among fans.
“I have heard this. This is something that has come up every so often for the past few years, and every time it comes up, I’m like, ‘That’s not true. There’s nothing behind that,'” Radcliffe wrote.
“And everyone’s like, ‘Oh, he said it might be true!’ I’m like, ‘No, I didn’t, I said the opposite of that!’ Every so often, I’ll get bored answering the question in a sensible way, so I’ll make a joke. Every time I make a joke, I’m like, ‘Why did you do that? That’s gonna set…’ So, the other day, I was like, ‘Prove me wrong, Marvel!’ And then that has ignited a whole thing.”
Who knows, maybe in the end, despite all the joking, Radcliffe will be cast for Wolverine. In any case, the actor certainly proved his worth with his performance in Lost City, where he was cast as the villain. Radcliffe’s character kidnapps the writer Loretta Strange, played by Sandra Bullock, hoping that she will help him find the lost treasure of an ancient city. On the meantime, her model Alan, played by Channing Tatum sets out so save his friend. It’s possible that his great work in the film will bring Radcliffe more success and perhaps one day a Wolverine role too.
