Grand Theft Auto V Next Gen – Fresh Coat of Paint

Alright, we all know now, that Grand Theft Auto V will finally make it on PS4, Xbox One and PC, but what are the exact improvements which we can expect from GTA V? What new eye candy should we expect from the improved graphics? And what about our online progression? And what new features to expect?

“I got the power!” So give me content…

According to a post from Rockstar on Rockstar Newswire Grand Theft Auto V will take “full advantage” of the power of every new platform. They have also promised “across-the-board graphical and technical improvements,” which aim to deliver a “stunning new level of detail,” Rockstar said. It means specifically, that GTAV for Xbox One, PS4, and PC will offer increased draw distances, finer texture details, denser traffic, and enhanced resolution. How much it will differ on each platforms, we don’t know yet.

“Wild Wild Life!”

GTAV for Xbox One, PS4, and PC will also include new wildlife, improved weather and damage effects, and an “array of new details to discover,” Rockstar said. What’s even cooler that these upgrades also apply to Grand Theft Auto Online, the multiplayer mode for GTA V.

As to the online progression already reached, you won’t have to worry about that either. All the new content for GTA Online released since launch–including new Jobs, weapons, vehicles, and properties–will be transferred on your Xbox One, PS4, and PC version of the game. Finally, Rockstar said all current GTAV players will be able to transfer their GTA Online characters and progression to Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Be the director!

And last but not least, GTAV for PC will feature a video editor that Rockstar says is designed for “advanced movie-making.” It’s not sure yet if this video editor will make it on the Xbox One and PS4 version as well. Preorders for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC versions of GTAV will be available starting tomorrow, June 10. The game launches in full later this fall.
