Naughty Dog has shared the first story details for Nathan Drake’s next (and potentially last) adventure. Check it out:

“Several years after his last adventure, retired fortune hunter, Nathan Drake, is forced back into the world of thieves. With the stakes much more personal, Drake embarks on a globe-trotting journey in pursuit of a historical conspiracy behind a fabled pirate treasure. His greatest adventure will test his physical limits, his resolve, and ultimately what he’s willing to sacrifice to save the ones he loves.”

This brief description doesn’t divulge too much information, but we already know is that Drake is the long descendent of Sir Francis Drake, so the “fabled pirate treasure” may refer to his ancestor. “What’s he willing to sacrifice to save the one he loves” is clueless marketing bullshit, copy pasted from other games early description.

This isn’t much indeed, but at least now we know, that Drake is a bit older, retired and it’s all about a “fabled pirated treasure”. Stay tuned for more info!
