Xbox Game Pass: Another Day One Release Confirmed For April! [VIDEO]

Xbox Game Pass has revealed that a brand new game will be released on the platform sometime in the second half of April.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers looking for a chilling, story-driven experience may want to check out Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly, coming next month.

Announced last November by publisher Chorus Worldwide and developer Toge Productions, Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly is available for pre-order now for PC and consoles.

The studio announced a new pre-order trailer and confirmed the game’s April 20 release date. Coffee Talk Episode 2 will also be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one. This will allow subscribers to enjoy the game on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S at no additional cost.

Toge Productions released the original Coffee Talk in January 2020. Described by the developers as a “coffee brewing and heart-to-heart conversation simulator,” the game puts players in the role of a barista in an alternate universe version of Seattle, Washington. Here, people live alongside fantasy creatures such as elves, orcs, succubi and others.

Featuring relaxing lo-fi music and beautiful pixel art, players mix drinks while getting to know the various colourful characters who come and go in their café.

The upcoming Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly continues the story with new and returning characters. Players will continue to explore the unique urban fantasy setting from conversation to conversation. Coffee Talk 2 players can mix various delicious coffee drinks, experimenting with different ingredients to create new recipes. Meanwhile, Coffee Talk Episode 2’s liquid simulation allows players to show off their creative side by garnishing drinks differently.

When the original Coffie Talk was released three years ago, it received an overwhelmingly positive reception, with a 95% rating on Steam. A coffee brewing and chatting simulator will not be everyone’s cup of tea. But gamers looking for a more relaxed experience can consider trying the new game on Xbox Game Pass or purchase it on PC via The Epic Games Store, Steam and GOG, or for Switch, PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
