The second wave of Xbox Game Pass titles for April 2023 has been revealed – we’re expecting coffee, farming and vampires!

 

 

Microsoft has unveiled the next batch of Xbox Game Pass titles coming in the second half of April. Looks like there’s plenty to look forward to for the rest of the month.

First, the real-time strategy game Minecraft Legends is now available in the cloud on consoles and PCs.

The gameplay is entirely different from the Minecraft you know and love, focusing on action and strategy instead of the creative and survival aspects of the original game.

Launching on the service on April 20, Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly continues the beloved original story. In this one, we take on the role of a barista who has to make coffee for guests. All the while, we get to know them. It plays like a visual novel, with the narrative at the forefront.

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle Special Edition will be available on April 27. It serves as a 2.0 version of the successful fighting game. The game includes a hearty character pack. It also consists of a 2.0 content update that adds much more to the base game.

Finally, on May 2, Redfall will also be released on Xbox Game Pass. This first-person cooperative shooter sends you to the town of Redfall to take on the deadly vampires. The game comes to us from Arkane Studios. They are the team behind Dishonored and Prey.

Outgoing Xbox Game Pass games

 

On May 1, we’ll have to say goodbye to more games. And some of them are really, really good.

As spotted by Wario64, Dragon Quest Builders 2, Destroy All Humans, Unsouled, Bugsnax and one of the best synesthesia games of all time, Tetris Effect: Connected, are leaving Game Pass. Game Pass members can still save 20% on these games by purchasing them directly. So the price will be lower than usual for those who want to keep these titles in their library.

For those who have yet to experience the sheer audio-visual pleasure of Tetris Effect, there’s no better time than now to dive into a classic game, enhanced by its eclectic music and immersive visuals.

Japanese designer and producer Tetsuya Mizuguchi directs the game. He was also behind the cult classic Rez and its remake, Rez Infinite. Tetris Effect: Connected has received high praise for its “mesmerising aesthetic” in most reviews.
