Daedalic Entertainment has announced that their highly anticipated action-adventure game, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, will be released in late May 2023 for PC and consoles. The developers revealed what the system requirements will be needed to run the game, and that they will use DLSS technology to improve the graphics performance.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum presents a unique perspective on J.R.R. Tolkien’s world, where players take on the role of Gollum to fight enemies and their own internal conflicts. Stealth, skill, and decision-making play an important role in the game, influencing Gollum’s fate.
Daedalic Entertainment stated that the minimum and recommended PC requirements for the game are as follows:
Minimum:
- Operating system: Windows 10 64-bit
- Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX-8350
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 2 GB or AMD Radeon R9 380 4 GB
- DirectX: Version 11
- Storage: 40 GB free space
Recommended:
- Operating system: Windows 10 64-bit
- Processor: Intel Core i7-3770 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB or AMD Radeon RX 580 8 GB
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 40 GB free space
The developers also said that the game will support NVIDIA’s DLSS technology, which uses artificial intelligence to increase image refresh and improve graphics quality. The DLSS feature will only be available on video cards that have RTX cores. If DLSS is turned on, the game can increase the FPS up to twice. It is also clear that the developers have to recommend DLSS for almost every setting, so it is likely that this game also joins the camp of poorly optimized games.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum game is official According to the Steam page coming to PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X on May 25, 2022 /S and Nintendo Switch.
