Assassin’s Creed: Forgotten Temple: Beloved Hero Of The Series Returns In This Story! [VIDEO]

Assassin’s Creed: Forgotten Temple is irrefutable proof that Edward Kenway deserves a sequel, and fans agree.

In 2013, Ubisoft blessed us with one of the best Assassin’s Creed games ever made, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. The game introduced us to one of the best protagonists in the series, the legendary Edward Kenway. It also took us to the beautiful Caribbean Sea, creating a charming backdrop for the adventure. Edward now returns in the webtoon Forgotten Temple.

Fans of Black Flag will be pleased to hear that a complete remake of the game is reportedly in the works, although many are still hoping for a proper sequel that continues Edward’s story and possibly takes us into other stories of the Kenway family tree.

These hopes have been partly met by a new webcomic, Assassin’s Creed: Forgotten Temple. The latter follows the adventures of Edward Kenway in China.

In fact, it’s not the video game sequel fans were hoping for. But at least it has proven that there is an audience for future Assassin’s Creed games that take the lives of pirates and incorporate them into their world and gameplay.

This is already evident from the teaser trailer that aired on YouTube a few months ago. The comments section is full of Edward Kenway supporters. Many of them regret that his story ended so soon in the mainline games. It was a fantastic ending, and one of the most memorable in the series.

“Edward needs a sequel, the entire Kenway family does,” read one comment, while another added, “Seeing Edward brings back memories, so much nostalgia.” One user said, “One of the dopest assassins in the franchise is getting a WEBTOON adaptation! I’M HERE FOR THIS.”

There may not be another game, but it’s nice to see the legendary Edward Kenway return to the series, and hopefully, the fan reception will give Ubisoft the boost they need to add some good sequels to his story.

The Assassin’s Creed: Forgotten Temple webcomic is now available for free online!
