MOVIE NEWS – Bob Marley would be greatly encouraged by a film about him, says the son of the reggae star, Ziggy Marley, one of the producers of Bob Marley One Love.

“I’m sure he would laugh a lot and be proud of us – Ziggy revealed in an interview with People magazine. “He always wanted to make a movie.” He was a very creative person and had the idea of making a western. He had many qualities that people don’t know about, we are trying to show them in the film.”

With the idea of the Marley movie, the musician’s family approached the Paramount studio a few years ago, and they also took on the lion’s share of the work. The title character of the film is Kingsley Ben-Adir, Ziggy, his mother Rita and sister Cedella are the producers, and his wife Orly is the executive producer. According to Ziggy, they tried to show the man behind the idol, i.e. make the emotions and world of thought of Bob Marley accessible to the audience.
