[XGS 2024] Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater: Kojima’s Name is Scrubbed [VIDEO]

It’s surprising that Hideo Kojima’s name is nowhere to be found, and even around the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, the iconic slogan began to disappear: A Hideo Kojima Game.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has the core experience of the original, evolved and more immersive than ever. A remake of 2004’s Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. The same gripping story and immersive world, but with all-new graphics and 3D audio that enhance the jungle atmosphere. Prepare for the ultimate survival stealth action experience. The story, characters, voice acting, gameplay and music that made the original a sensation return, reimagined for modern consoles. This evolutionary leap breathes new life into every cutscene and reimagines every corner of the world. (Wouldn’t it have been easier to just lift the original from the HD Collection?)

With Unreal Engine 5, expansive stages are rendered with the latest technology. Incredible new graphics bring the wild growth of jungles, forests and swamps to life in exquisite detail. Characters are rendered in such fine detail that facial wrinkles, pores, and even separate eye and iris movements are visible, allowing for rich and emotional facial animations. The combat damage system has been upgraded to reflect the wear and tear on Snake’s clothing, as well as the bruises and gunshot wounds on his body, in real time. Any injuries to his actual body will leave a permanent mark, telling the story of each player’s unique journey through the game. Players can opt for a newly added, more modern control style. These intuitive controls allow you to focus on the game and the thrill of the survival stealth experience. You can also choose to play with a classic control style that more closely mimics the feel of the original game.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC (Steam, 100% chance of using Denuvo) at an undisclosed date.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
