On the back of the MCV magazine, a full-page advertisement is seen. It’s normal, but it’s about a so far unannounced game. In the heart and soul of motocross – Worldwide announcement in 2015 September. Question is, who is actually developing MXGP 2? Unsurprisingly, that is also answered: it’s none other than the Italian team Milestone…
We’d recommend something to them: don’t develop more than one game at the same time – the last time we talked about them, Sébastien Loeb’s Rally Evo was delayed from September 2015 all the way back to 2016, which is usually a bad omen. It seems that they will pummel the Motocross world championship license to the ground, after having lost the World Rally Championship and the Superbike world championship licenses. Good luck.
There’s one more interesting thing though: the platforms are the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and the PC – will they leave the previous generation behind? We will not see the answers until September. The first game was somewhat alright (except for the bike disappearing in the pit, which should not happen in the sequel), so we’re expecting improvements to this game. We’ll see about that.
