Dragon Quest Heroes announced for the PlayStation 4

Nintendo’s Hyrule Warriors, which is a spin-off game with tons of action, is getting a lot of noise nowadays. Not want to be left behind, Sony is preparing its own spin-off action game. It’s called Dragon Quest Heroes, and it will be out on both the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 3.

Up to now, Dragon Quest Heroes there’s only information about a Japanese release, but we’re sure it will arrive sooner or later to the West as well. Dragon Quest Heroes is developed by Omega Force, a Tecmo Koei studio, who is behind Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors.

Sony revealed the game during their pre-TGS pres conference, where a bunch of other PlayStation 4 games were announced as well. All we know about Dragon Quest Heroes is that it won’t be have the usual Dragon Quest gameplay. Instead of the old turn-based JRPG mechanics, it will be fully action-packed. There will be also a custom made PlayStation 4 with the special edition of the game: the “Dragon Quest Metal Slime Edition“.

Check out the trailer of the game above: Dragon Quest Heroes looks like something old fans and newcomers can appreciate. Of course, it all depends on the final product. The game will be coming to the PlayStation 4 and PS3 in Spring 2015.
