Pre-TGS: Persona 5 announced for PlayStation 4

On its pre-Tokyo Game Show game conference in Japan Monday, Sony revealed quite a few new PlayStation 4 games. One of the new games was Persona 5, which was announced for PS4 and PS3 in 2015.

Persona 5 is a role-playing game series developed by Atlus, but the series delved into other gameplay styles as well. The last episode in the series, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, was actually a fighting game that was released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2013.

The Persona role-playing series started way back on the PS2, and Persona 5, seems to be a JRPG as well. The series has also had successful animes and movies and even adult movies.

The teaser trailer, revealed above, doesn’t give us much in terms of gameplay or story, but it does a good job at teasing what we can expect. Persona 5 will be released on the PlayStation 4 and PS3 next year, and will be exclusive to Sony platforms.
