The Crystal Dynamics boss talks about Rise of the Tomb Raider

In August, there was quite a big shock, when Crystal Dynamics announced the nicely done Tomb Raider-reboot’s sequel… as an Xbox-exclusive. They quickly had to come out and say that it’s just a timed exclusivity deal. Since then, the emotions have calmed down and the game continued being developed…

But now, Darrell Gallagher, the CD boss has talked to Game Informer about the game: „We already have cooperated with Microsoft back in 2008, when we made an Xbox 360-exclusive DLC for Tomb Raider: Underworld, so it was a logical step to make RotTR like this, but we would have made this game without the help of Microsoft.”

In terms of development, the focus is on the „green team’s” consoles, but porting them over to PlayStation machines won’t take as much time… we don’t know how much do we have to wait yet, though!
