Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain – You might lose your save!

Hideo Kojima‘s final Konami game, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is a huge game. But, if you are unlucky, you might lose all your hard work and your save might get corrupted on all five platforms the game was developed for! (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC)

The save corruption bug is related to Quiet. Using her as a partner for two certain missions (these would be #29 and #42), our save file can get corrupted, effectively forcing a restart, and seeing how these missions are in the second half of the game (or towards the end for #42), it wouldn’t be a good move. (Because restarting the entire game because of a bug isn’t a good feeling, even if it’s a great game!)

Konami have not fixed the bug yet, but until a patch is prepared, they do not recommend using Quiet in order to avoid the game bug. Hopefully they will patch the game ASAP, because this is a kind of a bug you just don’t leave in, especially in an AAA game. So be warned, everyone, do not use Quiet for these missions, or face the consequences…

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
