Insomniac Games’ Ratchet-Clank duo will perform a significant jump in 2016’s spring. There will not only be a PlayStation 4-exclusive remake from the first game (taking elements from later games, making it more than just a simple port), there is also going to be an animated movie in the cinemas in the aforementioned timeframe, thanks to the Rainmaker-Blockade duo.

The trailer gives us a brief recap on the origins of the duo, showing how Ratchet and Clank met, while keeping that classic style in action quite nicely. It’s humorous, not extremely serious, but still enjoyable – this is what we can say about the trailer. Will the Solana galaxy be destroyed? The answer will probably be a big fat NO, but we will have to wait and see how it will be saved eventually.

We have to wait a lot indeed, as it’s going to arrive in April 2016 (and there was no day confirmed yet), probably around the same day as the PlayStation 4-remake to tie the two projects together. Hopefully by then, Ratchet will find his wrench!
