Hideo Kojima already left Konami?

An anonymous informator has told New Yorker that Hideo Kojima already left Konami on October 9. However, he is not able to begin work at a new employer until December due to a non-compete clause. After that however, he can start working somewhere else – of course, Konami had to respond to this, and we have a few words to say in regards to the company’s response in general…

According to Konami, Kojima is now on an extended holiday. (This would make sense, because game development is usually going continuously for several months with no break!) But then, pray tell, why did Konami remove Hideo Kojima‘s name from the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain boxart, as well as other games? Oh, he probably was on a vacation back then already? Nonsense. Kojima formerly has confirmed his departure, when he said something along the lines of „legally binding agreeement with his former employer”.

We’d not be surprised, if Kojima gets picked up by Sony Computer Entertainment – after all, we already wrote about him meeting Mark Cerny!

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title.
