It’s not exaggarating to say that Outlast is the PlayStation 4‘s one of the most scariest games up to date – this applies to the Whistleblower DLC as well. It didn’t jump into – sorry for the pun – the jumpscare style, instead, it constantly kept us in fear in a great way. Well, Red Barrels now officially announced that a sequel is in development already. Our hearts are racing…

Outlast 2 will be in the same universe as the first game, so we’re wondering if there’s going to be some nods in the sequel towards the first Outlast. Most likely, the answer is going to be a yes. When’s the sequel going to hit us?

In the autumn of 2016, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Let’s hope it won’t be that short as Outlast was – if they improve on this front, we will have a new king to crown! Despite the fact that Red Barrels was only a 12-member team after shipping the console ports of the first Outlast game, it is a very respectable result by them, to say the least…
