Rumour: Kojima Productions LA got closed?

Another rumour has hit the internet about Konami (it seems that there is no month without a Konami-rumour, isn’t it?), or, to be more exact, about its Los Angeles-based Kojima Productions studio. This rumour was originally mentioned by George Broussard – the 3D Realms-veteran seems to know early about lay-offs.

According to George, 35 employees are fired, and pulling this off before Xmas is really a ruthless move on Konami‘s end, if this is true. Although it isn’t confirmed yet, in fact, their website still states several positions open for this studio. We still have to add that a WWS Sony Computer Entertainment America producer also wrote about it on his Twitter… so this is very suspicious already.

Can we believe Konami? When Kojima was confirmed to have a farewell party back in October (going as far as showing a photo taken there), Konami denied rumours stating that he’s just on his holiday. Well, we think this is game over for Kojima Productions Los Angeles… not a good move, Konami.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
