Rumor - Will the PlayStation VR external box be as big as a Wii?

The PlayStation VR – which was formerly known as Project Morpheus – will have an external box to it. As the virtual reality headset will not directly connect into the PlayStation 4, we will have to plug the PlayStation VR into this box. How big will this box be? As a pack of cigarettes? As huge as an old VCR?

Polygon looked at the box, and the headset (they were reviewing VirZoom), and the came up with a result. Although they did not take pictures, according to them, the PlayStation VR‘s external box is as big as a Nintendo Wii. However, remember how the late Satoru Iwata pulled it out of his pockets when this console was announced. It’s not big. Its color will be black – hopefully, made with a good enough material to avoid fingerprints all over the box.

The PlayStation VR headset will launch in 2016 with the price of a „new gaming console”, which means it’ll be either 350 or 400 dollars. Sony is planning with the PlayStation VR for a long time, so we have to get used to it.
