Coldwood Interactive‘s Unravel start to get into our hearts – the game simply has a beautiful atmosphere and ambient. These make it a pleasant difference after the crop of action games in the past months. This is probably the reason Electronic Arts have picked this game up: they planned to expand into other genres after all.
Unravel was announced during this year’s E3. To be fair, it was one of the surprising games of that event. Since then, we got to know several details about the game (like the price and the release date), but we’re always eager to learn more and more about it. Yarny‘s story still looks fantastic and family-friendly after watching this trailer. The platformer genre needs fresh blood and this game might be the beginning of something new.
The trailer is narrated by the game’s creative director Martin Sahlin – he talks about how hard it is to create a game with no dialogue while the story is presented by the gameplay and the environments.
The game is going to launch on February 9 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
I wondering everytime when I hear new informations about this game… This story is so cool, and the character is amazing. It can be one of the best platformer game in the last 5 years.
