A new try to hack the PlayStation 4!

After the PS3, is Cobra team „done” with the PS4? Previously, this group has made hardware mods for the prev-gen Sony console and now it seems they are already focusing on the PlayStation 4. Rumors are already flying all around regarding a device called USB Whistle.

If we can believe a person called H3ck34 and his tweets on Twitter, the USB Whistle would be announced on February 20. This would provide a USB Jailbreak solution. However, you shouldn’t take this entirely seriously: he also said that they would plan to sell this device on Amazon for around 50 US Dollars. This is something that the site would not tolerate whatsoever, so it’s pretty much just the bullshit generator running on maximum. (After this, the custom firmware by March 20 comment is something we’d just not believe.)

We just shake our heads – even if this rumor is indeed true, already the monetary profit approach of them towards the Jailbreak is disappointing, let alone hacking the PlayStation 4.

$50 is actually pretty reasonable for a jailbreak dongle. The Brazilian hackers were charging $60 for 10 games. Assuming this works with all current games, it could end up being cheaper.
