Another Dead Island game in the works?

Dead Island Retro Revenge. Deep Silver is doing something behind the scenes again. The Australian Classification Board ended up leaking another unannounced project. However, this situation is interesting.

Previously, Dead Island 2 had issues: Yager (the developers behind Spec Ops: The Line) got thrown out of the developer’s chair after three years. Since then, we don’t even know who’s working on that game! This is why it’s weird to see Deep Silver hold multiple marshmallows into the fire. The ACB’s data states Retro Revenge is being developed by Empty Clip Studios – they have made ports and small downloadable titles until now.

Dead Island‘s name isn’t shining recently: Techland left this name behind after the first game and Riptide to work on Dying Light. Dead Island: Epidemic  (an MOBA) and Escape Dead Island both failed miserably. Deep Silver has its work cut out to get the reputation back.

Maybe Retro Revenge is Dead Island 2‘s name? Judging by the developers, it’s unlikely.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
