Far Cry Primal: was Ubisoft lazy?

You can pick up Far Cry Primal on all three platforms already (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC). The discovery below might not have been found by some of you if you played both 4 and Primal but others did recognize a similarity between the area of Kyrat and Oros.

The map is effectively copied over from 2014’s Far Cry 4 to Far Cry Primal! The area is smaller in Oros than Kyrat and some rivers are connected but we can’t say that the two games’ maps are hugely different from each other.

Another point of interest: Takkar‘s village is exactly on the same spot as one of the villages of Far Cry 4. Technically, Ubisoft did not try their best to improve Primal (although beast taming is one of the new gameplay elements!) as much as they should have.

Let’s just hope that Far Cry 5 won’t pull the same move off as Primal, because that would be ridiculous.

(First image shows FC4’s map and the second one is Primal’s map.)

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
