This announcement was expected, dear Deep Silver: we have known about that there’s going to be a collection like this (we wrote about it, too). Dead Island Definitive Collection will put two games onto one disc on current-gen consoles as well as PC: Dead Island and Dead Island Riptide are making their way to us.
Dead Island Definitive Collection and Dead Island Definitive Collection will be available separately as well for 20 dollars/euros/15 quid. Higher quality textures, photorealistic new lighting system, physically based shading, HAVO, motion blur, anti-aliasing, updated game UI and as a bonus, the unofficial PC mod with the power fists will also be included officially in the games.

We heard about this name, and we finally know what it is. It’s a 16-bit, side-scrolling beat’em up game with leaderboards, powerups, combo systems and super attacks. Dead Island Riptide Definitive Edition will be available from May 31 for 40 dollars/euros/30 quid. We have to deal with this, as the sequel’s development is in shambles after Yager was booted out.
