NES emulation in a new way [VIDEO]

NES games – running on a now three-decade hardware – can now be easily run on even phones without much hassle. There are still new ways to run the good old classics. Someone managed to give a brand new approach to games like Contra or Megaman.

Geod Studio makes the classic 8-bit games into three-dimensional dioramas. Sure, the visuals aren’t the best, and it has issues, but let’s face it: it’s both a creative and shocking way to see the games. The emulator currently runs in Mozilla Firefox with multiple graphical glitches, but still: we never expected this 3D-style to happen! You can also set the angle yourself, giving another different flavor to the grey console’s titles.

You can see how these games work in the video below. If you want to try the 3D NES emulator yourself, go to this website.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
