Where Did Evolution’s Employees Go? Now We Know!

We still think that it was a surprising move by Sony that they decided to close down Evolution Studios. This team has been making Sony-exclusive games since the PS2. We now know where some of the devs have gone!

As F1 2015 and DiRT Rally were both successful games, Codemasters is now able to restructure themselves for growth. Therefore, they announced that Evolution Studios‘ employees are now working for Codies! This doesn’t mean that their IPs or the name is owned by them, though. We don’t know how many people joined Codemasters either. Evolution’s co-founder, Mick Hockin also received the position of Vice President of product development at Codemasters.

Hopefully, Codemasters‘ renaissance will allow them to continuously provide successful racing games in the future for the players. As ex-Evolution devs are now working for them, they have (part of?) the key to success. We’d like to see a new GRID game for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Yes, that was a request.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
