The PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and the Nintendo Wii U can all prepare for a new rival to enter the fray, although it looks like some of them to an extent. Last August, we have already seen a console that took the PS4‘s design, and the X1‘s controller (the OUYE, yes, with an E), but now, the monster is attacking again.
Previously today, there was a press presentation in Beijiing where Fuze showed off the F1, which still looks like Sony‘s current-gen console. Its price will start from 899 RMB (about 140 dollars), and it will be available from this summer. The CEO of Fuze, Fang Weng believes that the Fuze F1 will be able to outlive its competitors. (This statement somewhat makes sense: the Android-based console will be much cheaper than the PS4/X1, which would allow more people to pick one up.)
The second image below shows the console’s UI, which also seems to have taken cues from Sony‘s design, and color choices. Still, the company managed to get the support of multiple developers, including Keiji Inafune (yep, the guy behind Mighty No, 9 that drops by June), as well as Koei Tecmo, and Arc System Works. Don’t forget, Fuze was the company that bankrolled Inafune’s Red Ash that flopped on Kickstarter.
We wonder if this console will get a Western release.
