Prey 2 Announcement At E3?

Prey came out about a decade ago. Where’s the sequel? Good question. Its development was canceled in 2014. Bethesda saw another project getting canned after id Software throwing out their progress on DOOM 4 in 2012 to restart their game from scratch. (The result will be available from tomorrow on PS4, X1, and PC.)

We have also heard that Arkane Austin is likely to work on Prey 2. Sources close to Kotaku have confirmed the game’s existence. The team has been apparently working on the new title for three years, although it might not be called Prey 2, yet it will be announced at the E3! It’s going to be different from what we saw in 2011 by Human Head Studios. Hopefully, the devs don’t go after DOOM, and just simply call the sequel Prey. (If they end up doing that, we’ll be a bit annoyed.)

It looks like Bethesda might have another big game in store after 2015’s Fallout 4 announcement. We’ll see in a month, folks.
