Crytek: We’re Not Ruling Out A Crysis Remaster!

Crysis launched on consoles – but not all installments! (Crysis Warhead is the exception that was made by the Hungarian Crytek Budapest team in 2008.) Crytek would like to follow suit of the other devs/publishers with the current-gen port trend.

Crysis, which first launched at the end of 2007 on PC, followed by a 2011 PS3/X360 release with a newer CryEngine, isn’t ruled out of receiving a PS4/X1 remaster. Rok Erjavec, technical director, has said the following in his interview with DSOGaming: „I agree that the first part of the Crysis series is a great game. While we would never rule out going back to it, at the moment we are focused on our current VR projects The Climb and Robinson: The Journey.”

After multiple delays, Crysis provided extraordinary visuals on PC a little more than 8 years ago – if the devs can provide the same stunning effect on PS4 and X1, it would be amazing. Perhaps Electronic Arts can toss a bag of money at Crytek to get to work.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
