Whore of the Orient Producer: It’s Dead

L.A. Noire‘s devs’ new game will not see completion.

In 2012, Team Bondi has presented Whore of the Orient – the title sounds interesting, doesn’t it? -, which planned to use the same MotionScan technology that made L.A. Noire‘s characters have extremely realistic facial expressions. The game was slated for a 2015 release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and we didn’t see much of it outside a leaked gameplay video.

In his audio interview with Gamehugs , Derek Proud, producer of the game expressed that the game is now dead. Despite the devs „fighting to the bitter end,” parent company KMM (Kennedy Miller Mitchell; they bought out Team Bondi in 2011 after they hit the ground financially) didn’t allow the game development to be finished.

It’s never a good thing to talk about cancelled games, and with the case of Whore of the Orient, it’s really a shame.
