Microsoft Skips Tokyo Game Show Again!

Microsoft has problems when it comes to penetrating the Japanese console market. Nintendo and Sony effectively give zero chance to let the Xbox One into the spotlight, so the Redmond-based company does its things in a different way.

Microsoft held a press event at its Japanese headquarters to let the journalists know their upcoming games, but they also confirmed that they will skip Tokyo Game Show for the second time in a row.

Instead, they will hold the Xbox Big Thanksgiving (Xbox Dai Kansha-sai) again, which is a more open event. Last year, people who attended could try games such as Rainbow Six Siege, or Rise of the Tomb Raider, but they could also meet PlatinumGames’ Hideki Kamiya, who is currently working on Scalebound. The date and the location haven’t been confirmed yet – instead; they announced that Windows 10 gaming would be part of the event.

Microsoft versus Japan – so far, the country is winning.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
