Sony‘s CEO, Kazuo Hirai, has told a few interesting tidbits to Financial Times (you need a subscription to read it!) regarding the short term plans of Sony.
Hirai said that Sony is planning an aggressive expansion into mobile gaming. That comment makes sense: mind you, ForwardWorks, a company, focusing on mobile games, was founded in April. He also says that Pokémon Go was a game-changer, and it has the potential to change the way how people move (literally).
The other point of interest is the PlayStation 4 NEO. Apparently, Sony is „expected” to launch the stronger PS4 later this week. That would be outstanding: official reveal at the PlayStation Meeting on September 7, followed by a potential store launch on September 9? (September 9 is a Friday, it would make sense, wouldn’t it?)
Sony might be much more ahead of Microsoft than we thought.
Sooooooo basically, Sony is going to pull a SEGA Saturn. And how is this a good thing?
