Metal Gear Survive Reused An Entire Map From MGS V [VIDEO]

Someone compared 2015’s Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Konami‘s upcoming Survive, and the results aren’t positive at all, to say the least.

Using the FOX Engine, similar to MGS V, is alright. However, effectively lifting over the entire Afghanistan map from the previous game to Survive is an entirely different ball park. Sure, we can see some differences, like different foilage, cleared up doorways and chest-high walls, but the comparison video shows how similar the two maps are. (You’re going to be shocked, let’s put it that way.)

Metal Gear Survive will not be an AAA-priced game in 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. If Konami is just CTRL+C, CTRL+V-ing assets like no tomorrow, perhaps a fan can pull off a better mod, which wouldn’t even cost as much as this game.
