2008’s Valkyria Chronicles’ follow-up is going to get its localization.
SEGA, who filed a trademark for a new Valkyria game in October 2015, announced Revolution a month later, only for the PlayStation 4. However, the plans have changed significantly since the announcement now over a year ago.
The new Valkyria isn’t going to be only on Sony platforms, but on the Xbox One as well. However, while the desktop consoles (PlayStation 4, Xbox One) receive a physical release, the PlayStation Vita is getting a digital-only release of this tactical RPG in Q2 2017 in the West.
The game is set in an alternate time, continent and universe to Valkyria Chronicles. Revolution focuses more on individual player decisions as they maneuver the five central characters through their war-torn homeland.
Perhaps SEGA can get more sales with this title (the PC release of Chronicles is currently at 872K sales).
